What About Those Liquid Vitamins

by Alison Addy

This article talks about liquid vitamins and how they are preferred by many over pills. It also talks about the pros and cons of liquid vitamins.

Vitamins Are Important To All

The best way for us to have a long and healthy life is to take care of our bodies. One major way of taking care of our bodies is to take vitamins. Whether we get our vitamins in supplements or in the foods we eat, we need certain vitamins on a daily basis. If we don’t get enough of a certain vitamin, our bodies will become deficient in that vitamin. Having a deficiency in a vitamin can cause different diseases to develop. If we’re deficient in a vitamin, the only way to cure the problem is to begin taking that specific vitamin.

Liquid Vitamins-Everyone’s Favorite

It’s necessary for us to take vitamins on a daily basis. Most of the vitamins our bodies need we can get in the foods we eat. This is why it’s important to eat vitamin-rich foods. You may remember as a child hearing your mother tells you to eat all your vegetables or drink all your milk. She wasn’t doing this to be mean! She was doing it to ensure that you got all the necessary vitamins and minerals your body needed to grow healthy and strong. Today our lives are so busy and rushed that we don’t always eat as good and healthy as we should. This is the reason why they sell vitamin supplements in pills, gels or capsules. They also now sell liquid vitamins, which are, without a doubt, the favorite of most people. Not only are liquid vitamins easier to swallow than pills, especially for those that have difficulty swallowing pills, but they also get absorbed in our bodies much quicker than pills.

The most common and widely-taken vitamins are Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, B2, B3, Vitamin C and K and all of these are available in liquid vitamins. Another advantage of taking these vitamins in liquid form is that they can be taken with other nutrients, making them even more versatile and ensuring your body is receiving all the nutrients it needs.

Why Liquid Vitamins Are Preferred

Research shows that more people prefer to take Liquid vitamin supplements than pills. Not only are they used more by small children, but adults as well. In fact, it is estimated that over 90% of vitamin takers take their vitamins in liquid form with only a small percent preferring to take them in pill form. The main reason for this is that they are able to bypass the digestive process and go directly into our blood stream and cells, thus eliminating a lot of the heartburn caused by some pills as well as beginning to do their work quicker. They also have a more pleasant taste. The only negative is that it takes them longer for all their ingredients to be broken down because they are not in compressed form like pills. Overall, they are still the vitamin of choice.
