By washing the tops and undersides of each leave, one can reduce the chances or even completely avoid damaging pests. To protect against whiteflies in particular, its best to use pest insecticide soap on the plants at least once a week. These products contain alcohol, which means that you must keep the Bonsai miniature roses out of light until the alcohol has completely dried.
You will need to move diseased roses away from your other plants so they will not get attacked as well. Depending on how serious the pests have attacked your roses, you may be able to cut back a section of the miniature roses. This will allow for regrowth and may even allow the plant to become fuller. The way to get wonderful looking rose blooms is to use a high potassium fertilizer. You will need to mix the fertilizer with water at a 1/4 strength ratio, then proceed to fertilize a minimum of once a week.
