Your Personalised Chocolate Wedding Favours

by Irene Maseko

Edible wedding favors are bound to please almost everyone at a wedding reception. Whether you opt for sweet or savory items you and your guests are likely to enjoy them. Chocolate candy might not be the most elaborate gift even if it does come in a special wrapper but that does not make it any less welcome to hungry guests.

These chocolate bars can be simple milk chocolate, dark or white chocolate which are filled with items such as almonds or raisins. Many companies exist that can create special wrappers that should have details of the wedding printed on them even if everything else is from a standard template.

Many couples decide to personalize their favor even more by having a picture of them on the wrapper. When candy bars are not an option, why not have the edible wedding favor candy in a tin instead! These tins become mementos of the big day if the bride and groom have gone to the trouble of having the wedding details placed on every tin. You can guarantee your guests will take the tins away with them even if they are empty because not only will they be a reminder of the day but they are practical as well. Candy is now frequently used an edible wedding favor and until people stop enjoying candy, this is likely to continue.

By using a large glass bowl in the center of every table, the bride and groom can fill them with their own choices of candy for everyone to share. You can also leave a small presentation box with details of the wedding, and one that can even match the wedding theme if there is one. Then the guests can fill their containers with the candy before they leave the reception later. Cookies are other options for brides and grooms who want to give out edible wedding favors and there are a number of different options in this case. Undecorated cookies are best because they are supposed to go inside a decorated box which can have the wedding day details printed on it.

Current technology allows for a photo to be printed on the cookie so a couple could choose to do this as an alternative to a presentation box. Cookies can be baked in a variety of shapes so all that needs to be done is to supply a picture for them to imprint. Edible wedding favors can also come in the form of teas, coffees and cocoa for something a little more sophisticated. There are a number of specialty teas and coffees available which can then be packaged in something appropriate for the wedding. A picture and other wedding information can also be placed on the box or container because it adds that touch of individuality. If you have not found any of these suggestions appealing, there is no reason why you cannot come up with something that is completely unique for your guests!
